Hope this helps anyone with similar problems. Lo and behold, the 64 bit dll files for Kontakt are now there again :) Now I just have to hope it all works with VEP. (Btw you can select the dll download folders under Preferences in Native Access). I was able to reinstall Kontakt Player 5 tonight and recreate that last folder (and path as above) then select that last folder as the destination folder for Kontakt's 64bit dlls. You may have to recreate that last folder if it's missing on your PC. for 64bit vsts) -> C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\VSTPlugins 64 bit. Normally, you would expect to see the VST folders that contain the essential Kontakt dll files here (e.g. (It seems from my research today that this path/folder maybe might get broken if you change locations of Kontakt sample libraries, or download locations too.)

But first take your time and double-check that you select the proper (best) location for the folder where you want to install your 32 and 64bit vst dll's. You can open Native Access, or download from NI the latest Kontakt Player. dll files in the vst 64 bit folder under the Native Instruments folder (in particular the one that also has the Kontakt Player) of your C drive (to the best of my knowledge). (I think I've fixed it but haven't yet tried it with VEP).

Instances of Kontakt 6 have no Quickload menu right now, but that's no issue as I'll create one as needed.I also had this same problem, today. A project that used Kontakt 5 still opened up using Kontakt 5, and my Kontakt 5 Quickload menu seems to be just fine. Is that the case, or is it just that Quickload is not copied over to 6 automatically and you have to do it yourself manually?ĮDIT: I just installed Kontakt 6, and all is well. Two questions:ġ) After installing 6, will my current projects continue to open up using 5?Ģ) Will I need to back-up and then reinstall my Kontakt 5 Quickload file after installing 6? I seem recall an earlier thread that said installing 6 could mess up 5's Quickload. That's because all my current libraries run great in Kontakt 5 and there's always a chance that problems will arise with 6 (like this ). I'm planning on continuing to run all my Kontakt 5 libraries using Kontakt 5, and only load and use Kontakt 6 for any new libraries that require 6. Just purchased the update to Komplete 12.
